Trends to Watch in Beauty, Fitness, and Wellness

Wellness is everywhere these days, and I couldn’t be happier about it. What I love most is that it’s no longer about chasing perfection or trying to look like our younger selves. It’s about feeling strong, balanced, and alive — right here, right now. From beauty to fitness to nutrition, I’m seeing so many exciting shifts that focus on what really matters: taking care of ourselves in ways that feel good. Let’s take a closer look at the trends that are helping us age with energy and confidence.

Smarter Sleep: Rest That Adapts to You

Getting good sleep isn’t just about cutting caffeine or turning off screens before bed. If you’re still feeling groggy in the morning, new solutions are helping people wake up refreshed.

Take high-tech sleep aids like Eight Sleep. These systems adjust your bed’s temperature and even help reduce snoring to improve the quality of your rest. The result? Deeper sleep and brighter mornings—without having to replace your mattress or rely on loud alarms.

Self-Care as a Shared Experience

Self-care isn’t something we have to do solo anymore. Wellness clubs like Remedy Place and Love Life are creating spaces where relaxation becomes a community event.

These clubs offer cold plunge pools, infrared saunas, and other restorative treatments in a social setting. Think of it as a gym—but for unwinding and recharging. Whether it’s oxygen chamber sessions or hydration therapy, these spaces are designed to help you recover and connect with others who value self-care just as much as you do.

Examples of Wellness Clubs:

  • Remedy Place: Holistic approach, offering a variety of therapies and social events.
  • CORE: Club: Combines fitness and wellness in a social setting.
  • Fairweather Social Club : focuses on wellness and community.
  • Soho House: Membership-based social club with a focus on wellness and lifestyle.

Skincare for Healthier, Happier Skin

When it comes to beauty, the focus is shifting to supporting your skin’s natural strength. This means doing less but doing it smarter.

  • Skin Cycling: This method spaces out active ingredients, like retinol or exfoliants, to allow your skin time to repair and breathe naturally.
  • Barrier Support: Healthy skin starts with a strong barrier. Gentle cleansers, hydrating moisturizers, and ingredients like ceramides and peptides are becoming staples in many routines.

Rather than piling on products, the goal is to nurture your skin so it can do what it does best—protect and renew itself.

Exosomes: A Boost for Skin and Hair

Exosomes are creating buzz in the beauty world. These tiny messengers, derived from stem cells, help encourage healing and rejuvenation.

When combined with treatments like microneedling, they can smooth skin texture, reduce scarring, and even promote hair growth. For everyday use, there are serums and creams that make it easier to bring these benefits into your routine. It’s an exciting blend of science and self-care working together to keep you looking and feeling your best.

Fitness That Works With You

Gone are the days of pushing yourself to the limit. Now, the focus is on smarter, more sustainable ways to stay active.

Low-impact options like Pilates, yoga, resistance bands, and functional movement exercises are replacing high-intensity workouts. They help build strength while being gentle on joints, keeping you mobile and energized.

Recovery is also taking center stage. Tools like compression wraps, stretching routines, and infrared therapy are helping people feel better after activity. It’s about working with your body, not against it, so you can stay consistent and avoid burnout.

Making Movement Enjoyable

Exercise doesn’t have to feel like a chore. More programs and platforms are making fitness fun—whether through engaging virtual workouts, friendly competitions, or rewards to keep you motivated.

When physical activity feels enjoyable, you’re more likely to stick with it. And the more consistent you are, the more benefits you’ll see over time.

Recovery Made Simple

Being active matters, but recovery is just as important. The good news? There are plenty of tools and products designed to help you bounce back.

From supportive footwear with built-in massaging features to recovery drinks and gummies that ease soreness, taking care of your body after movement has never been easier. With these tools, you can stay consistent without being sidelined by aches or fatigue.

Protein for Strength and Energy

Protein is essential, especially as we age. It helps with muscle health, energy, and recovery. Fortunately, there are more convenient options available now, from high-protein yogurts to shakes and snacks that fit into busy lifestyles.

Whether you’re maintaining muscle, boosting your energy, or simply looking for a filling snack, protein-rich choices can play a key role in your wellness routine.

Small, Sustainable Changes

Making environmentally friendly swaps doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Try opting for oat milk instead of dairy or replacing meat with plant-based proteins like beans or lentils in some meals.

Choosing local, seasonal produce not only cuts your carbon footprint but also supports nearby farmers. Even little changes—like using reusable snack containers or buying in bulk—can make a meaningful impact over time.

Final Thoughts

It’s encouraging to see wellness moving in a direction that feels more real and more personal. These trends remind us that taking care of ourselves isn’t about chasing the latest craze — it’s about finding what fits our lives and helps us feel our best. Whether it’s a new skincare routine, mindful movement, or nourishing foods, small changes add up in powerful ways. Keep exploring, stay curious, and most of all, enjoy the process of caring for yourself at every stage of life.

The secret to building muscle at 62…? It isn’t a The secret to building muscle at 62…?

It isn’t a complicated stack, or a 2 hour gym session, or a program designed by someone half my age.

It’s this. Right here. A grocery haul of real, protein packed foods, the same things I buy every single week.

Here’s what I want you to understand: the workout builds the muscle, the food is what makes it stick.

After 50, your body needs more protein than you think to hold onto muscle, recover from workouts, and keep your energy up through the day. Most women I talk to are eating half of what they need and stuck wondering why they aren’t seeing results.

Here are some of the essentials I keep in my grocery basket week after week:
🍳Eggs - the most complete protein source you can buy🥣Greek Yogurt - high protein, easy, and works for any meal
🍗Chicken Breast - the staple. Simple to prep, impossible to mess up
🧀Cottage Cheese - underrated, high protein and it goes with everything
🍣Salmon - protein plus the omega-3s your joints are begging for
🧋Protein Powder - for the days when life gets busy and I need something fast

You don’t need to be a chef or spend hours in the kitchen. You just need the right things in your fridge and pantry.

Comment RECIPE and I’ll send you my go-to high protein meals. The same ones I eat every week for fuel my workouts and keep me feeling strong at 62 💪❤️

That was all the motivation I needed to up my hip mobility.

Being able to say yes your grandkids isn’t just about love. It’s about having a body that can actually show up for the moments that matter. Getting on the floor, scooping them up, chasing them around the yard.

None of that happens without strong hips, a stable core, and joints that move the way they’re supposed to.

These are the same mobility moves I do to stay mobile, strong, and ready for whatever activity gets thrown at me.

And my full body routine, the one that keeps me moving pain-free at 62 is inside the 60 Strong app.
